Reporting directly to the VP of Business Operations, the Finance and Operations Associate will have the opportunity to play a major part at Little Red Door Cancer Agency. We are searching for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is looking for a fun, unique challenge in the non-profit sector. This role requires a well-rounded individual with a unique blend of accounting and administrative skillset. You will not be parked in a cubicle doing the same thing every day!

*MIP Accounting software experience/knowledge required*

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accounting/Finance (50%)
• Assure all expenses are recorded correctly
• Provide senior leadership with reports and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Prepare, review, and analyze budget versus actual on continuous basis
• Month-end close in accordance with a consistent monthly timeline and checklist
• Support with vendor management/ACH conversion
• Prepare financial statements
• Participate in developing finance and accounting strategies for LRD
• Perform transactions and processing in AP, AR, and all other general accounting functions
• Maintain a working knowledge of all day-to-day accounting functions and system
• Develop ability to perform tasks independently and with a high degree of reliability
• Prepare checks for mailing

Operations Support (50%)
• Improve and maintain filing system for organization
• Manage organization's global calendar
• Manage conference room calendar and meeting requests (internal and external)
• Compile, collate, assemble meeting/presentation items
• Coordinate all activities surrounding board and committee meetings
• Order office supplies and monitor inventories
• Perform general administrative duties as assigned by CEO and VP of Business Operations

Skills and abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to exercise flexibility and work effectively in a changing environment
Ability to multitask and maintain high quality of work across projects
Positive attitude and team oriented mindset

Qualifications:
Knowledgeable and experienced in MIP/non-profit accounting software required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Relevant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of degree
At least 2 years of experience in general accounting practices and procedures preferred
