The Office of the General Minister and President seeks a qualified candidate with a bachelor's degree in accounting or another finance field, who has passed or is eligible to sit for the CPA exam. The full-time, exempt position, reporting to the Vice President for Finance, will provide oversight of the daily operations of the treasury team, providing accurate and timely service to our treasury customers and staff members.

Position Duties

Coordinator of Treasury Services
• Manage accounting and contribution systems
        o Administrator of financial software
        o Review bank, A/R, and A/P reconciliations
        o Prepare/input adjusting journal entries
        o Approve/post Staff Accountant's adjusting journal entries
        o Post cash receipts
        o Manage check stock
• Prepare financial reports for OGMP ministries
• Assist with budget creation and monitoring for OGMP ministries
• Steward of fixed asset inventory
• Ensure compliance with tax authorities
• Present reports and attend meetings as requested communicating financial data into ministry or layperson's terms
• Develop new systems to achieve efficiency and productivity
• Update accounting policy and procedure manual as needed
• Participate in professional development related to accounting standards and best practices
• Assist VPF as needed

Liaison with accounting partners outside of OGMP as assigned by VPF
• Review and prepare financial reports
• Assist with budget creation and monitoring
• Communicate highlights of each partner's financials to VPF as needed

Audit Committee Liaison
• Work with audit committee, VPF, and independent auditors to ensure the engagement and completion of the annual audit to achieve an unqualified opinion
• Assist with collection and input of DMF partner's financials

Position Qualifications

• Ability to learn and utilize general ledger and contribution tracking software
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to use other Office Suite products
• Ability to interact with clients of Treasury Services 
• Ability to complete responsibilities by deadlines
• Ability to be a team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Aspire to maintain professional competence, financial integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality
• Ability to support and understand the Mission Imperative of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or another finance field (required)
• CPA (preferred)
• Financial Edge and Raiser's Edge software experience (preferred)
