The VISTA Marketing and Communications Coordinator's key responsibility is to provide support to the resource development program by implementing marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness of the mission and programs. The position's focus will be on the BGCI website, social media accounts, direct mail design, organization visibility, marketing plan, and volunteer engagement. The VISTA Marketing & Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Development & Marketing for overall guidance, but will collaborate with the resource development team members on individual projects.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) is one of the oldest human service organizations in Indianapolis. Since 1893, BGCI has been a partner with families to ensure that thousands of area youth from age 5 to 18 are guided and supported to reach their fullest potential in life. BGCI provides afterschool and summer programming throughout underrepresented Indianapolis neighborhoods. Duties include design and distribution of media products; utilizing graphic design tools to develop high-quality printed and digital publications; developing content to update and maintain BGCI website; collecting details of BGCI stories for use in media; developing written content for BGCI external publications; assisting in design of communications and marketing resources; assisting with organizational brochures, letters, invitations, signage, and other marketing collateral; supporting Director of Development & Marketing with managing Google alerts, tracking key metrics in Google Analytics, email reports, and Hootsuite reports; assisting with maintaining donor database by updating data and donor information; maintaining, updating and growing engagement through social media channels; assisting with creating and carrying out marketing campaigns and events; assisting in developing strategies to market Club programs, advocacy and fundraising events.
