The VISTA Alumni Relations Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and strengthening relationships with BGCI alumni. Working closely with the BGCI Director of Operations, Director of Development and Marketing, and fellow VISTA Communications and Marketing Manager, the VISTA Alumni Relations Coordinator will focus on increasing social media presence, planning alumni reunion events and engagements, and identifying and recruiting alumni for the BGCI 125th anniversary in 2018. Special features of the project will include written and verbal communications, development and facilitation of committees, event planning, recruitment, and database management.

Service Description:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) provides a safe and fun environment with programs that help build academic success and job readiness, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. In an effort to continue to effectively serve Indianapolis youth and expand organizational capacity, the VISTA Alumni Relations project was developed. BGCI hopes to reach out to those who have benefited from Boys & Girls Club programs during their childhood. In year 2 of the VISTA Alumni Relations project, BGCI hopes to create a broader network of financial and volunteer support and community awareness.

Member Duties:
Activities will include: utilization of local media, maintain and increase social media presence, organizational documents and other resources to identify and contact BGCI alumni; form Alumni groups/committees to plan large scale alumni events and gatherings; cultivate alumni to become alumni ambassadors to represent the organization publicly; plan, promote and implement Alumni events specifically focusing on the BGCI 125th anniversary celebration; maintain an alumni database to use for future communication and solicitation; create Alumni profiles to be included in BGCI newsletters, website, and other documents.
