The Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking an Executive Associate Director of Major and Planned Gifts to provide critical leadership within the Office of Gift Development fundraising program which is currently engaged in the university-wide Bicentennial Campaign with a goal of raising $350 million for the School of Medicine.  The individual in this role will contribute to the development of a visionary fundraising strategy that inspires alumni, patients and philanthropic leaders and ultimately results in significant philanthropic commitments that align with institutional priorities.

In addition to leading and managing a team of major gift and planned giving officers, the Executive Associate Director of Major and Planned Gifts is expected to be one of the School's most productive and successful frontline fundraisers, maintaining a portfolio of 75-100 top tier prospects and securing $3-5 million annually in current gifts, planned gifts, and pledges.

The ideal candidate will be successful in both management and fundraising. Will possess the demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit, and secure six- and seven-figure gifts, leadership skills necessary to motivate and retain a diverse and talented fundraising staff, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, plus 8 years of progressively responsible experience in institutional development with an emphasis on cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts.  Master's degree and experience in higher education, health care, or an academic medical center strongly preferred.
