Responsible for managing organization's direct response program.  Implement strategies and leads research to identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize and steward donors and prospects through direct response.  Manage sustainer, workplace, matching gift and staff giving programs.  Oversee the creation and implementation of printed donor engagement tools.  Under the direction of Development Manager, assist with database maintenance and perform clean-up projects to improve data integrity and database performance.  Responsible for all mail house/vendor list management.

Our skilled professionals provide confidential reproductive health care and comprehensive sexuality education.

• Leads project management of all direct mail efforts (C3, C4 and PAC) including: writing, proofing, data extraction and list management.  Ensures deadlines are met and process moves in a timely fashion.
• Provides direct mail reports and assists in analyzing segments, giving trends and testing direct mail content.
• Identifies and creates printed donor engagement tools for department.
• Manages sustainer program (monthly/quarterly giving).
• Oversees workplace giving and employer matching gift requests.
• Creates, implements and manages on-going staff giving campaign.
• Creates, implements and manages the system of patient donations and health center mentoring.
• Assists in implementing strategies and research to identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize and steward donors and prospects.
• Assists in event coordination for special events, including house parties, planned giving events and other priority donor gatherings.
• At direction of Development Manager, work on special database maintenance and clean-up projects to improve data integrity and database performance. 

• Prepares spreadsheets as needed and can effectively insert and utilize appropriate spread sheet functions.
• Prepares and maintains accurate and organized computer and paper files.
• Provides accurate word-processing with routine projects being completed in an appropriate business format with specified deadline for each project.
• Proactively drafts routine business correspondence.
• Returns calls.
• Processes correspondence, review mail and various other paperwork.
• Attends meetings with supervisor, co-workers and other department's staff.
• Attends meetings and facilitate meetings with supervisor, co-workers and other departments' staff.
• Manages and prioritizes work flow effectively.


Bachelor's degree required, with 3-5 years of fundraising experience, or an equivalent number of years in development, with an emphasis on direct response. Database experience is required.  Prior Raiser's Edge experience a plus.  Proficient with MS Office software.  Determines priorities and uses time effectively.  Ability to adapt to fast-paced office environment.  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work both independently and in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.  Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally as part of event preparation.
