Organization Overview:
Jameson Camp is an award-winning, year-round youth services agency located on 130 acres in Indianapolis.  It was established in 1928 and serves thousands of children per year.  This is a chance to work in a beautiful natural setting for a growing organization pursuing a great cause.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Development and Communications Manager's major responsibility is grant-writing including grant research, tracking, applications/requests, reports and maintaining positive relationships with foundations. 

The Development Manager's responsibilities also include:  writing quarterly appeal letters to 500-1,000 donors and coordinating the printing and mailing of such, and; managing our social media, donor communications through thank you letters and new donor welcome letters, social media, our website, e-newsletters, and our annual reports.

The position will work closely with the Development Director and Executive Director to assist with other fundraising and communication activities including:

• foundation prospecting research (via iwave Pro);
• donor data base management (via Salesforce);
• assisting with special marketing pieces for fundraising events

Desired Qualifications:

Candidates must have a college degree and effective writing skills. Ideal candidates will have received a graduate degree in fundraising and have a minimum of one year's experience in development including grant-writing.  Qualified candidates should be creative, innovative and demonstrate self-initiative.  Candidates should have an understanding of donor prospect research, keen analytical skills and be detail-oriented.  Strong organizational and time management skills are a necessity.   Experience with donor data base management is highly desired. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in the organization's mission of positive youth development in a camp setting, teen leadership development and outdoor education.
