The Database Analytics Manager will lead the continued implementation and ongoing enhancement of our Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) data collection and performance management system, which is used across United Way of Central Indiana and its growing network of partner agencies. With the goal of continuing to move our agencies toward a culture of program excellence, this position will use normative data to inform best practices and improve outcomes. This position will be responsible for managing a small team of research associates who work with ETO.

This position will assist with research and analytical projects conducted by the Strategic Information Department which supports the organization's goals and objectives.  They will act as a liaison between the Strategic Information Department and internal/external partners.

Position Duties & Responsibilities
• The Database Analytics Manager position serves as an Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) Administrator, ensuring staff is trained and properly utilizing the ETO database.
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance and management of Efforts-to-Outcomes software, collaborating directly with agency executives and end-users to facilitate program performance management activities. This includes managing ETO grant documentation (Professional Service Agreements, budget, invoices).
• Expand the use of ETO software to partner agencies by presenting to potential stakeholders and providing supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with the Center for Working Families (CWF) program director and stakeholders to determine what data are necessary to measure outcomes. Maintains working knowledge of CWF program goals, outputs and outcomes. Recommends improvements in evaluations, outcomes measurement, analysis, presentation and utilization.
• Serve as an expert in electronic data collection and management, specifically with experience using the ETO system in a non-profit or human services setting with a large user network. This is a largely external-facing role and will require the Manager to have exceptional communications skills and to develop effective working relationships with both United Way and agency staff, including executive staff.
• Act as primary liaison between United Way and the Social Solutions Global (SSG) technical support team. Create customized performance reports that aggregate results for management and local funders.
• Help train internal and external partners on data-entry and data integrity.
• Work closely with the Directors and other members of Strategic Information to define and design analysis projects.
• Present research results both in written and verbal communications.
• Support internal efforts to ensure ETO is optimized to support and advance our Data Integration Plan.

Qualifications

• Database administration experience required, experience with ETO preferred.
• Experience in managing both projects and personnel is highly preferred.
• Experience developing and conducting trainings, workshops and webinars; ability to communicate with and train a wide variety of audiences.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
3-5 years of leadership experience required.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in using relational databases, preferably Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database.
• Must possess a high-level of computer proficiency and knowledge of various computer and database software, with particular proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in using business intelligence software, preferably SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence.
• SQL language desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills - define problems, research and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities essential.
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.
