Description:
Mid level community engagement and development position.  Serves in leadership role with assigned volunteers and constituents.  Supervises select volunteers or committees.  Leadership responsibility for managing, coordinating and leveraging the chapter outreach program, building constituent and volunteer relationships leading to  engagement in all chapter events and programs.  Additional responsibilities focusing on the school walk program.
• Coordinate all aspects of chapter outreach initiatives, including Bag of Hope, T1D Summit, PEAK program and Family Empowerment Series.
• Manage, train volunteers and implement T1D Community Connections program
• In coordination with the Executive Director and volunteer leadership and committees, identify and cultivate new corporate and individual sponsorship partners for One Walk, primarily in Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis
• In coordination with staff and volunteer leadership and committees, cultivate, steward and develop growth in returning corporate and individual Walk teams
• Assist in identifying and cultivating new families through outreach program and by developing relationship with HCP and hospitals in local market.
• Partner with volunteers and chapter staff in developing opportunities for outreach to support JDRF mission activities, including fundraising.
• Build network of JDRF supporters to assist with outreach planning and implementation.  Manage speaker's bureau for chapter matching volunteer speakers and families to participate at chapter sponsored educational and fundraising events.
• Key liaison to manage and implement School Walk program throughout the state.
• Expand and deepen relationships with health care professionals and hospitals throughout the state.

Requirements:
Five + (5+) years of community outreach and involvement in fundraising campaigns. Knowledge of fundraising and non-event fundraising activities is a must. Well disciplined and self starter. Effectively multi-task, establish priorities and work in a fast paced environment. Highly efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure. Detail oriented and strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Excellent interpersonal skills. Computer literate.
