Chaucie's Place works passionately to empower the community to end child sexual abuse and youth suicide by offering evidence-informed, high-quality prevention programs so all children can live free from harm and to their highest potential.
 
Chaucie's Place is seeking a full-time Volunteer and Intern Coordinator responsible for overseeing all aspects of volunteer and intern recruitment and administration.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The Volunteer and Intern Coordinator is responsible to:
 
•       Recruit volunteers and interns to support the successful delivery of Chaucie's Place programs, special events and other tasks that contribute to the center's operations.
•       Collaborate with team members to identify volunteer and intern needs.
•       Serve as the primary liaison with Chaucie's Place volunteers and intern supervisors.
•       Develop and implement a regional volunteer and intern recruiting strategy and action plan.
•       Oversee the volunteer and intern background check process and manage all volunteer paperwork and database administration.
•       Manage and maintain volunteer scheduling and staffing of center programs and tasks. This includes communicating with volunteers to schedule and confirm their participation, as well as conducting follow-up as needed.
•       Establish, implement and maintain programs for volunteer recognition and additional volunteer training.
•       Create and distribute volunteer communication that keeps volunteers informed, educated and enthused about their efforts with Chaucie's Place, including volunteer newsletters, social media postings, emails, etc.
•       Track and manage the reporting of volunteer involvement, time spent, duties performed, etc.
•       Collaborate with program teams to develop and deliver specific volunteer training and orientation for all Chaucie's Place programs.
•       Assist in the planning and execution of special events.
 
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one (1) year of professional experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with computers and common software programs such as Microsoft Office. 
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a cross section of the public, including community groups, universities, volunteer board and committees, staff and media. 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, present to groups, work under pressure, manage deadlines, maintain accountability and work independently and creatively as part of a cooperative and coordinated team. 
• Must be responsible, dependable, well-organized, and have high integrity.
