The vision of The Wesleyan Church is to transform lives, churches, and communities through the hope and holiness of Jesus Christ. The Database/Donor Communication Manager will work In collaboration with the Chief Development Director to develop strategies and tools for broadening the base of support from Wesleyan Church constituents.  This position requires a high level of effective collaboration with all levels of The Wesleyan Church, its divisions and departments.

• Works with Chief Development Director to create and implement marketing strategies, and development policies and procedures to encourage support for Kingdom priorities.
• Serves as the liaison with Accounting and IT in the implementation of development processes.
• Manages online donor giving system to ensure seamless and effective integration with communication and development systems and processes.
• Throughout the year solicits donations through field representatives, social media, direct mail, and e-mail.
• Works interdepartmentally to understand marketing information needs to support the Church's multi-channel outreach methods.
• Provides data analysis and interpretation that aids in developing priorities for all Wesleyan Church ministry focuses.
• Ensures database cleanup and optimization, and performs analysis on large amounts of data for use in marketing planning, senior management and board presentations.
• Communicates findings at the technical level and uses business acumen to translate into business ideas that can be acted upon. 
• Provides leadership and support to donor services staff, including training and knowledge exchange. 
• Integrates data from various sources/databases (Raisers Edge, Infusionsoft, TWC Portal), and provides database training and support to TWC staff.
• Assists with data related aspects of targeted fundraising strategies such as missionary fundraising, international project development, major donor, and church multiplication and discipleship.
• Serves as a member of the Development StratOp team that develops marketing programs to increase donor retention and acquisition to include planning, general strategy, testing plans and execution of key individual initiatives.
• Determines the most efficient and accurate method for retrieving data from multiple sources and executes simple to complex queries in a relational data base environment.
• Develops response tracking reports for current giving solicitations to strategically plan future solicitations.
• Develops segmented donor recognition program; identifies and celebrates donor milestones
• Manages communication strategy for monthly giving programs.
• Monitors donor communication targets for field representatives.
• Initiates new correspondence strategies to increase donor engagement.
• Provides front-line customer service for donation inquiries.
• Contributes to major donor development strategy.

• Must be a self-initiator with demonstrated ability to create work plans and manage deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis, segmentation, audience profiling and predictive modeling to inform decision making.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (particularly advanced Excel functions).
• Strong aptitude for math; must be detail-oriented and thorough.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organization levels and provide excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to review and improve upon processes and procedures.
• History of successful partnerships on cross-functional teams.

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, information technology or a philanthropy related field.
• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in marketing or database analysis.
• Knowledge of Raisers Edge and/or experience with other donor database systems.
• Experience with SQL, and relational data base technology preferred.
