The Indiana University School of Social Work has been giving hope and changing lives for over 100 years. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Recruitment & Field Lecturer – Fort Wayne campus.

The Indiana University School of Social Work invites applications for a non-tenure track (twelve-month, full-time) faculty position. The MSW Recruitment and Field Lecturer is responsible for providing recruitment activities to achieve the School of Social Work's recruitment and enrollment goals for the Indiana University - Purdue University, Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. In addition, the position will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out a variety of recruitment activities in the Fort Wayne area. The position will work closely with the Statewide Recruitment Coordinator and the Program Coordinator at the IPFW campus in carrying out recruitment activities. In addition to recruitment activities, the position duties will include teaching two courses per year and field coordination.  Field coordination duties include assisting in field placement development and placing students in field placements, field placement orientations and trainings, review of employment-based petitions, and monitoring student progress in field. Appointments are renewable and contingent on student demand and available financial resources.

Essential qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and two years of relevant work experience. This position requires that the incumbent be skilled in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of tasks related to providing recruitment services in the local area. The position requires strong presentation and problem-solving skills, effective communication skills with diverse populations verbally and in writing, the ability to work independently, and strong skills in developing and maintaining effective working relationships. In addition, strong skills are required in using computer software and data management programs and basic skills in survey methods. Salary is competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.

The Indiana University School of Social Work, headquartered in Indianapolis, has a long and distinguished history that began in 1911. The IUSSW offers the BSW program, MSW program, and the PhD program in Social Work, along with the AS and BS programs in Labor Studies. The School has approximately 80 full-time faculty members on seven campuses and enrolls nearly 1,500 students in its programs statewide.
