Life Centers provides compassionate care to women and men facing pregnancy related decisions. We offer free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, one-on-one counseling, and post-abortive support. 

The mission of life Centers is to affirm the value of life by providing a network of care to those experiencing pregnancy-related decisions and by compassionately presenting biblical truth resulting in changed lives to the glory of God.

Established in 1982, Life Centers is dedicated to affirming the value of life by providing compassionate care to women facing unplanned pregnancies in Central Indiana. Committed staff and volunteers at our eight pregnancy centers provide free, confidential services including pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams, one-on-one counseling, and post-abortive support.  We also meet the material needs of expectant mothers by providing maternity and baby clothing, diapers, bottles and other baby items. At the heart of our life-saving mission is a passion to show the love of Jesus.  We believe that the hope found in Jesus Christ is the greatest hope for those facing pregnancy decisions.

GENERAL JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY STATEMENT The Director of Events and Communications (DCE) is responsible for leading and managing all communications and coordinating events to expand Life Centers' core mission and purpose.  Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the DCE will set and guide the strategy for all communications, and events. Additionally, the DCE will work closely with their peer group within Life Centers to ensure alignment and strategic imperatives are being met. The DEC also provides strategic analysis to the ED and the board regarding all communication and events that assists in guiding and directing the ministry to make informed decisions on our future growth opportunities.
• As an advisor to the ED, the DCE will be responsible for reviewing organizational effectiveness and performance against our peer ministries and with our long-term strategy.
• Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the ED to assist in making actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
• Remain on the leading edge in anticipation of trends by developing strategic communication plans and strategies that broaden the awareness of Life Centers as well as strengthen our brand identity.  
Essential Responsibilities
• Lead the maintenance of and content generation for all of Life Centers' communication platforms and channels: websites ( and, external emails (Mailchimp for Life Centers' Email Updates, etc.), social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter), brochures, signage, radio (internet and terrestrial), all print pieces and any other new platforms and channels.
• Set and apply standards for all external communication for Life Centers. Ensure consistency in branding (both Life Centers and Pregnancy Choices Indy).
• Lead efforts to empower and assist staff in their communication needs. 
• Set, communicate and maintain long term communication strategy.
• Evaluate and develop new avenues of communication in the effort to continually expand the audience for Life Centers' communication.
• Guide and direct aspects of Life Centers' graphic design in communication pieces, in collaboration with in house graphic designer.
• Ensure all communication and events are implemented to create momentum and awareness as well as testing the effectiveness of communication mediums and events.
• Coordinate and organize all events, meetings and activities that are in alignment with promoting LC to donors, clients and the church community.

• Regular communication with supporters of LC updating them on upcoming events, activities and progress of the ministry
• Able to maintain high output without sacrificing quality and accuracy
• Ability to keep appropriate information confidential as needed and requested
• Capable of handling multiple tasks with little supervision and handling pressure and rejection without inappropriate disappointment
• Unquestionable integrity with a strong sense of professional ethics and personal giving with stewardship of ministry resources
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or trends related to communication
Experience: Ministry and/or business education
• 3+ years of business, sales, or marketing within a corporate or non-profit organization
• Experience in planning, coordinating and executing events with measurable performance standards
• Experience in social media and other communication mediums that have defined and specific goals to ensure efficient use of LC resources
• Prior experience of managing and leading teams, volunteers within organizational structure
• Developed and proficient experience in leading strategic and creative vision for growth opportunities
• Outstanding written, oral and organizational skills
• Technology competent and continuously learning new areas of technology's imprint on LC's overall communication effectiveness
• Ability to multitask and interact positively with all levels of the organization.
• Operating knowledge of various software such as MS suite of products, donor databases and other event, communications and ministry outreach software.
