The Institutional Giving Manager is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluating development efforts aimed at corporations, foundations and public sector agencies, with an emphasis on writing grants. This position supports the Theatre's annual fund activities.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre is the state's largest, fully professional non-profit theatre.  Our focus is on creating a vibrant community through our work on stage, and creating an energizing work culture off stage.

• Develop, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive fundraising strategies for all foundation, corporate and public funding sources (cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, evaluation).
• Initiate and sustain comprehensive corporate, foundation and government grant research and be proactive in bringing funding opportunities and possible special campaign/project initiatives to the Director of Development
• Serve as a liaison between the Theatre and its grant-making prospects/contacts
• Coordinate the writing of grant applications, proposals, reports and evaluation documents to grant making resources
• Develop and manage grant fulfillment plan (including, but not limited to, scheduling and leading grant and sponsorship fulfillment meetings, creating timelines, working with other departments to ensure follow through)
• Assist with the conceptualization, planning and implementing of annual fund campaign communications strategy
• Manage income/expense for grant and sponsorship related activities
• Represent the development team by participating in curtain speeches, greeting in Donor Lounges, attending IRT events and hosting at the IRT Celebrity Radio Show
• Assist with writing and/or editing departmental and company collateral as needed
• Other duties as determined by the Director of Development

• Bachelor's degree
• Three years successful fundraising, marketing, and/or communications experience or other successful high level constituent management
• Experience with volunteer coordination, recognition and evaluation
• Superior writing, speaking and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational capabilities
• Technical proficiencies using Tessitura CRM software is a plus and excellent understanding and use of business technologies and software including MS Office is required.
