Bethany Christian Services, a global leader in child welfare and adoption, is looking to hire a practitioner to serve in the Homebuilders program, an evidence-based practice which has been designated a "model family strengthening program" by the United States Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).

Expectations of a Homebuilders practitioner:
Provide in-home, crisis-oriented counseling and support to families to prevent the unnecessary out-of-home placement of one or more family member(s) into foster, group, or institutional care.
Teach families a wide range of new skills using a cognitive-behavioral model.
Carry a caseload of two families at a time for 4-6 weeks per family.
Work a 40-44 hour, flexible work week, including some evening and weekends.
Be on call 24/7 to families during the intervention.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Live in Hendricks, Boone, Montgomery, Morgan or Putnam County
Possess a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related human service field with at least 2 years of direct social service experience.
Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Cultural Diversity Commitment.

Desired Qualification:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, family studies, child development, or another related degree.
(List of related degrees include: behavioral science, child and adolescent welfare, child life specialist, counseling, family and consumer science, human services, marriage and family therapy, Master of Science in social administration, social and community service, and youth, adult, and family services)
