Allies of Indiana, a Peer-Run community-based organization t is seeking a dynamic go-getter who has a history of grant writing, marketing and a substantial network to call upon in opening a Peer-Run Respite and Wellness Center in Indianapolis within the next fiscal year. 

The right person will lead our organization and work with the board of directors to develop and staff a Peer-Run Respite and Wellness Center for persons with lived experience and its  volunteers.  This opportunity is suited for someone with confidence, the ability to take independent action, initiative, a real sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them.  The ideal candidate possesses marketing, sales, grant writing and fund raising skills and is ready to hit the ground running.  Primary components of this position are initiation, stewardship and cultivation of relationships, new and existing, with potential funders.  Again, the ideal candidate will be passionate and committed about working in a nonprofit environment and will place a high value on relationships with people.

General Duties:
• Responsible for development and oversight of all personnel and maintaining adherence with the Organization Policies.   
• Responsible for oversight and training of the PRWC Director 
• Oversight and participation in staff training and development
• Responsible for oversight of the payroll and accounts payable systems 
• Attend all Allies Board Meetings and report on activities of Allies at each meeting.  Consult with the Board of Directors on critical decisions that may affect Allies.
• Oversight and development of the Allies Strategic Plan in partnership with the Board of Directors
• Write and submit grants/proposals for funding of the PRWC and other Allies programs
• Ensure compliance with all funder/grant requirements including completion of all reporting for grants and funds in a timely manner
• Maintain an outcomes database for the PRWC and develop reports as needed
• Meet with PRWC Director for co-supervision meetings at least monthly
• Submit and prepare proposals for presentations and develop presentations on a local and national level
• Oversee the develop marketing materials for the PRWC 
• Responsible for oversight of the Allies budget and reporting to the Board of Directors
• Maintain confidentiality of participants and respite guests
• Delegate responsibilities to staff as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

This job requires self-assurance and a competitive drive.  The responsibilities in this job are broad in scope, entailing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priority with the ability to juggle several of these priorities at once.  This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a somewhat authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or high school diploma/equivalent and 5 years related experience
• Lived experience including willingness to share story as needed
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Excellent knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience is preferred
• Experience writing grants and grant management is preferred
• Experience with startup and program development is preferred
• Experience with training and staff development is preferred
• Experience with data collection and reporting  is preferred
• Knowledge of State and Federal requirements for all Allies programs is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective time management and organization skills
