Connected By 25 is in its 9th year of operation, and its 5th year as a standalone 501(c)3. We are a team of 12 with diverse lived and professional experiences, all united by a dedication to improving the foster care system and lifting young people out of poverty. Our mission is to ensure youth transitioning out of foster care are educated, housed, financially stable, employed, and connected to a support system by age 25. We accomplish this through advocacy and programming in the areas of K-12 & post-secondary education, workforce development, health, financial capability, housing, and youth engagement.

Duties:

    1. Promote and facilitate data-supported, national best practices in program implementation, evaluation, and organizational management
    2. Lead a team of 10-15 team members toward specific measurable outcome goals
    3. Identify population needs and develop programs and policy solutions to ensure foster youth success
    4. Attract, retain, and develop the talent needed to carry out our mission and build a thriving team culture
    5. Design and implementing strategies to develop staff and cultivate a culture of organizational learning
    6. Represent the organization to the public as a thought leader and build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of external partners
    7. Work in partnership with the President on strategy and organizational management
    8. Oversee and improve back-office supporting functions and process

Qualifications
Prior experience

  • 5+ years of exceptional performance in strategy development and implementation, with a minimum of 3-5 years managing high-performing teams toward measurable goals  
  • Proven impact in the areas of advocacy, program implementation, process improvement, organizational learning, and change management

Skills

  • Ability to manage teams through organizational change  
  • Proven success in evaluation and development of employees
  • Proven success in managing teams to strong outcomes  
  • Aptitude for managing large and/or complex public or private grant programs, including tracking key metrics and writing final reports        
  • Distinctive skill in understanding complex organizational problems and synthesizing actionable solutions                      
  • Familiarity with state legislatures and policy-making processes

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
