Junior Achievement of Central Indiana is seeking a collaborative and passionate individual to cultivate and develop new and long-term JA partnerships with businesses and individuals that engage with JA to volunteer in local schools, helping young people thrive in the 21st century workplace and global economy. The Volunteer Manager will lead, organize and coordinate all aspects of large scale volunteer initiatives, with a focus on JA JobSpark, as part of a team that leads approximately 5,000 JA volunteers in Central Indiana that will impact over 32,000 students.
   
Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Education, Business or related field required
• 3-5 Years Building and maintaining corporate relationships
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to the corporate and business community
• Manages existing relationships and develops new partnerships with businesses and organizations to fully involve them with JA programs; including partnerships with JA JobSpark companies, volunteering in classrooms, participating in special events and providing financial support.
• Cultivates relationships with new companies, associations and groups to secure volunteer resources and overall interest in JA.
• Works closely with Career Success Manager in order to support volunteer efforts of JA JobSpark, a career expo for 8th graders.
• Develops and delivers JA volunteer recruitment and training presentations. 
• Distributes appropriate marketing and awareness pieces to the community. 
• Responsible to recommend and attend community outreach and networking events to advance JA's mission and appeal to the community.
• Enters both prospective and current volunteer information into database.
• Works closely with JA Education Team to meet program demand by teachers while ensuring classroom and volunteer program quality throughout the volunteer experience.
• Develops new and effective strategies to improve volunteer retention and focus on volunteer appreciation events.
• Possesses exceptional communication skills.
               
Education/Experience Required/Desired:

• Degree in education, business or related field
• Experience influencing and leading groups or corporate initiatives
• History of volunteering
