Coburn Place Safe Haven, the largest and most comprehensive transitional housing program in Indianapolis for victims of intimate partner violence, is seeking a part-time Children's Services Advocate. The Children's Services Advocate represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and is responsible for providing high-quality, age-appropriate services in our Children's Department.

Coburn Place offers supportive services and housing options to survivors of intimate partner violence. We utilize a compassionate model of voluntary/trauma-informed services to focus on the overall well-being of the person while addressing barriers to safety, self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Position Duties
The Children's Services Advocate represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and is responsible for providing high-quality, age-appropriate services in our Children's Department. The Children's Services Advocate will research, identify, recommend and implement fun and age-appropriate (which might include birth to age 24/dependent young adult) activities, services and curricula either through Coburn Place or established partnerships to empower child clients in improving wellbeing, overcoming the impact of witnessing domestic violence, improving academic performance, and fostering long-term self-sufficiency. Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. /B.S.) in child development, psychology, social work or other related field; and two plus year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Previous experience working with children of domestic violence in a structured environment preferably in a non-for-profit environment is required.  Must have a clear MVR, valid Indiana driver's license, clear DCS history, and clear criminal and sex offender background checks.  E-Verify is required.
