The executive director is responsible for the successful management of the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation to meet the goals and objectives as set by the Board of Trustees and oversees the long-term visionary and short-term operational priorities of the Foundation.

Organization Summary
Founded in 1870 at Indiana Asbury (now DePauw University) in Greencastle, Ind., Kappa Alpha Theta is the first Greek-letter Fraternity known among women. In creating Kappa Alpha Theta, our founders were leading the way for women's groups and for women in higher education. Our members are women of all ages: women who attended college in nearly every US state and Canadian province, women who live all over the world, and women with varied professions, faiths, and ethnic backgrounds.  Kappa Alpha Theta currently has over 200,000 living members.  We have chapters on over 140 college campuses across the U.S. and Canada, and over 215 active alumnae groups around the world.  The organization comprises the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, Foundation, and Housing Corporation. The Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation is a 57-year-old organization that is dedicated to securing and managing resources for the educational, leadership, and philanthropic programs of the Fraternity and for the scholastic, professional, and service pursuits of its members to help them reach their fullest potential to make a difference in the world. Theta Foundation, governed by an elected Board of Trustees, is a 501(c)3 organization with a current operating budget of over $1 million and an endowment of approximately $32 million. 
 
 Essential functions include oversight of the following Foundation areas:
 
- Development and donor relations
- Programs and grant-making
- Operations (including finance and staff supervision)
- Communications
  
Qualifications:
College education and advanced degree and/or training in foundation or nonprofit management (such as CFRE certification). Demonstrates strong understanding of best practices in scholarship, grant-making, fundraising, and development.  Demonstrates ability to think strategically and a willingness to be flexible while maintaining efficiency. Communicates effectively with multiple audiences. Exhibits competence in management of staff and volunteers.
