The Advancement Officer delivers comprehensive services that facilitate mid-level and major current gifts as well as deferred gifts.  This person provides key leadership in the promotion of sound giving techniques that accomplish personal charitable objectives and result in gifts with substantial and lasting benefit. 

The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, a women's fraternal foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) public charity.  The Foundation's mission is to, "impact and enrich our communities by providing essential support for education, philanthropy and leadership."  

Position Duties:
• Plan, promote, coordinate, supervise and implement Foundation fundraising programs in collaboration with the Foundation team.  Such programs include, but are not limited to mid-level annual, special initiative, major and planned giving.   
• Establish annual fundraising goals and benchmarks, and prepare regular reports.
• Manage a portfolio of donors, implementing individual giving strategies and initiatives.
• Create and implement meaningful donor recognition programs and opportunities. 
• Maintain current professional expertise and attend educational workshops necessary for continued professional development.
• Perform all assigned duties in a professional manner benefitting the mission and culture of the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.

Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree. 
• 3-5 years' development experience with a proven track record of success in cultivation, solicitation, securement of gifts and stewardship of prospects and donors.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, and the ability to authentically communicate with donors in a donor-centered, compassionate, caring and confidential manner.    
• Strong work ethic and organization skills.  Preference for proficiency with Raiser's Edge.
• Personable and charismatic and able to collaborate closely with others.
• Innovation. 
• Well-organized, able to work with minimal supervision and manage time and goals in a deadline-oriented environment. 
• Preference to a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity.
• Travel required.  Preference to Indianapolis-based applicants.
