Organization Overview
The Megan S. Ott Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and the result of the vision of Megan Snyder Ott, a native of Noblesville, Indiana who succumbed to breast cancer in 2010. Megan realized that breast cancer doesn't just attack the individual but the heart of parents, siblings, extended family, and friends. The Foundation customizes support to the individual needs of each recipient and our number one priority is to bring as much joy, happiness, and laughter into their lives as possible.

Position Duties
1. Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis and establish effective communications with them.Develop a major gifts program to include identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual prospects and corporate donors.
2. Conduct grant seeking research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
3. Build the planned giving program.
4. Establish annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
5. Assist as needed in the foundations recipient outreach program.
6. Coordinate fundraising special events.
7. Oversee creation of publications to support fundraising activities.
8. Perform other related duties as requested.

Position Qualifications
● Non profit fundraising experience
● Must embrace the mission of the Megan S. Ott Foundation.
● Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
● Have knowledge and experience in fundraising.
● Possess the skills to work with and motivate board members and other volunteers.
● Have the desire to get out of the office and build external relationships.
● Be a self-starter and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls.
● Be organized and exhibit follow through on tasks and goals.
● Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability.
