Ball State University Foundation Advancement Services and IT Department is accepting applications for a Programmer Analyst with a desired start date of January 2, 2018.   This full-time professional position will work collaboratively setting guidelines and procedures in an effort to manage the Ball State Foundation's donor database, interact with both Foundation and campus constituents developing processes and creating ad hoc and scheduled reports and data extracts.  In addition, this position will interact with coworkers validating data in order to make sure the data is reliable as possible, communicate both at a technical and functional level with peers and clients presenting clear technical details, enforce all policies set for the system and Foundation, and assist in establishing guidelines and policies concerning the system and its interface with Raiser's Edge. 

Minimum Requirements:  
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Management Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university.  Two years of related work experience with Raiser's Edge.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:  
Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related area from an accredited college or university.  Demonstrated experience and knowledge of data security best practices.  Three or more years or related work experience with Raiser's Edge.   In addition, familiarity with linking tables, key fields, and strong logic skills with strong knowledge of Access.  Strong understanding of standard programming practices and experience using standard database query techniques.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines consistently and efficiently and to adapt to frequently changing work priorities.
