The role of an Accountant in Client Services:
Process, review and reconcile financial transactions based on policies and procedures affecting donor trust accounts, generate and reconcile statements and work to research and clear outstanding items.  Create client satisfaction by providing timely, accurate, focused services to clients and prompt responses and follow-up to phone and written inquires. Work in a services-oriented team environment to understand existing and new client accounts and cross-train in transaction and other processes. 

Mastering these responsibilities will provide an opportunity to progress your career in one of our accounting areas of interest:  tax, process improvement, reconciliation or more complex accounting assignments.

•          Record financial transactions in accordance with standard accounting practices, policies and procedures in a timely and accurate manner, for assigned clients
•          Process fee and distribution requests on a timely and accurate basis
•          Coordinate tax season priorities regarding entry and balancing of client accounts to finalize financial reporting
•          Analyze investment account activity for assigned clients to ensure accounting regulations are followed and standard accounting processing rules are adhered to ensure compliance
•          Balance statements, financial transactions and data entry on a time and accurate basis as defined by department standards
•          Participate in developing and implementing standard or enhanced financial policies and procedures for client accounts
•          Timely and accurate processing of income beneficiary distribution requests and fee requests
•          Promptly and accurately communicate and document changes, amendments, adjustments or errors that arise  
•          Prepare reconciliations of securities, cash, valuations, and earnings
•          Ensure accuracy of all distribution reports
•          Conduct research and communicate results as required
•          Maintain file data and reports as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•          Preference will be given to candidates with work experience and education in  professional services, accounting, finance, business administration and financial services
•          Entry level to 3+ years' experience in a high-volume accounting or transaction posting and processing compliance-oriented environment with established policies and procedures
•          Attention to detail, strong time management skills, highly organized ability to work well with clients and staff teams and a desire to learn
•          Client and service focused to achieve timeliness and accuracy
•          Flexibility and agility to shift priorities, cross-train and contribute to individual, team and company priorities
•          Effective time management and organizational skills
•          Strong business ethics & personal integrity
•          Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal
•          Microsoft Office Suite experience
•          Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree or higher
•          A combination of work experience and education will be considered
•          Candidate must be able to pass a background check
•          A passion to learn from our team and contribute your talents
