Hoosier Farmers Market Association'Indiana's statewide farmers market education nonprofit'seeks a dynamic fulltime Program Manager for its new initiative Growing Indiana Markets. The Program Manager will support and grow Indiana's producer-to-consumer network through capacity building, membership development, quality assessments, and technical assistance. 

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary liaison to program sites and technical assistance clients; 
• Screen Indiana farms, markets, and CSAs for eligibility;
• Develop and manage the farmers market statewide directory;
• Co-plan and host monthly member webinars;
• Draft and review education and resource materials;
• Coordinate and staff six community assessment and planning conferences;
• Organize and execute farmers market assessments;
• Manage technical assistance logistics and resources;
• Collaborate with and give guidance to the apprenticeship team;
• Ensure apprentices accurately track and document time and internship credits;
• Support and manage program activities including workshops; 
• Maintain program activities in the project management software; and,
• Assist in designing and implementing a locally-informed strategic plan. 

Attention to detail and clear communication are keys to success. If interested in sponsorship cultivation and corporate stewardship, increased responsibilities and wages are available. 

Qualifications 
A bachelor's degree is required. Minimum experience includes 2-5 years of membership, policy, grant, program and/or project management. Candidates should have experience with data collection, research methods, membership relations, and/or grant administration. Budget management familiarity is highly desirable.

A master's degree (completed or in progress) is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a degree in one of the following: public affairs, policy, nonprofit management, grants administration, community health, leadership, sustainability, agriculture, marketing, adult education, anthropology, applied sociology, or social work. A preferred candidate will be conversational in Spanish or Burmese.

Requirements
For employment consideration, a candidate must:
• Complete projects independently and in accordance to guidelines.
• Work collaboratively and harmoniously as part of a diverse team. 
• Adapt well within a social entrepreneurial setting.
• Submit timely monthly and quarterly reports. 
• Adhere to established processes and procedures.
• Speak, read and write English at a 10th grade level or higher. 
• Operate knowledgeably in an iOS environment.
• Be skilled (moderate to advanced) in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.), Google Suite, Drop Box, and CRM systems. 
• Able to lift 50 pounds, walk continuously for 1 mile, and stand for up to 1 hour. 
• Pass an I-9, background check, and employment verification (U.S. eligibility). 
• Possess a valid driver's license. 

Terms 
The Project Manager position is a fulltime primarily grant funded position through December 31, 2019 with a possible three-month extension. Some nights and weekends are required. Position requires up to 35% in-state travel. Site ranges include offices, co-working spaces, service organizations, farms, and farmers markets. Employees interact with leadership, peers, customers, vendors, consultants, and contractors, and are expected to demonstrate professional behavior in all settings.
