FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic is seeking an energetic team player to join our front office team.  Front office associates perform various administrative and clerical tasks required to support clinic services and programs, while providing excellent customer service.
 
Organization Overview:
FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic (FACE) is Indianapolis' nonprofit, low-cost animal clinic.  Open six days a week and serving central Indiana, the clinic provides affordable spay/neuter services, along with medical and wellness care for companion animals and community cats.   Since opening in 1999, FACE has performed more than a quarter of a million spay/neuter surgeries, which has contributed to a 90% reduction of euthanasia in our community.
 
Essential Functions:
•  Greet clients and set a positive clinic atmosphere.
•  Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly customer service in-person and by phone.
•  Assist clients with checking into and checking out of clinic.
•  Update and manage patient information.
•  Communicate and administer financial-assistance programs.
•  Assist with scheduling spay/neuter appointments.
•  Assist with reminders and confirmation calls for spay/neuter appointments.
•  Familiarity with clinic services.
 
Other Responsibilities:
•  Answer the phone, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate departments.
•  Change trash in front office and lobby.
•  General cleaning duties (moping, dusting, etc.).
•  Works cooperatively with all team members.
•  Report to work daily, on time, and ready to work.
•  Other duties as assigned by Service Manager, Front Office Lead, or Business Manager.
 
Position Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
•  At least two years of customer service experience or related field. 
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office.
•  Experience using office equipment (computer, fax, printer, scanners, etc.).
•  High school diploma or equivalent.
•  Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
 
Skills and Abilities:
•  Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
•  Excellent customer service skills.
•  Seeks and responds to feedback from customers to improve service; seeks to understand the perspective of others.
•  Energetic team player with a passion for FACE's mission.
•  Able to work across departments to ensure high-quality patient care and advancement of FACE's mission.
•  Flexible, adaptive style in working with many varied audiences in fast-paced environment.
•  Willingness to learn new tasks and information.
•  Open to change and variety within the workplace.
•  Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work. 
•  Strong word processing and data entry skills.
 
Schedule:
Schedule will not exceed 40 hours. Typical workdays for this position may include Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
