The Communications Manager has a strategic role that works closely with the COO in all aspects of the Children's Fund's communication efforts. The position may work with the Board of Trustees and top volunteers. The Manager shall provide the strategic vision for communications to ensure fundraising and programmatic success. Will work closely with the Children's Fund development team to create and implement the communications portion of the fundraising plan. The Manager will work closely with the Programs Services team to effectively communicate the grants, scholarship, and other programs and procedures. The Manager will coordinate communications efforts with the Kiwanis International communications staff to ensure deadlines are met and work is accomplished effectively. 
• Degree: Bachelor's in Communications or Administration or equivalent degree required. Master's or higher preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience working in not-for-profit management
• Demonstrated success in fundraising, communications, planning and other strategies
• Possess a demonstrated history of success working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker
• Analytical, high attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines, organize and prioritize work
• Excellent project management experience and multitasking skills
• Management experience of professional level staff with not-for-profit or service organization
• Volunteer management experience highly desired
• Writing proficiency
• Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in Power Point
• Internet proficiency including social media
• Microsoft 360 products, including email, calendar and documents a plus
• Basic skills with Raisers Edge or equivalent software a plus
• Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends
• Some travel required
• Kiwanis Family experience a plus
• Multilingual a plus (reading, writing and speaking skills)
• Experience working in a membership-based organization a plus
