The Indy Women in Tech Executive Director ("IWiT ED") is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and community outreach of the IWiT Foundation. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. The IWiT ED will work alongside the officers of the IWiT Foundation in executing a strategic plan that attracts and develops high caliber talent and will have a tangible and lasting impact on the tech community throughout the state of Indiana. The IWiT ED will develop relationships with all stakeholders, program providers, and participants. The IWiT ED is a newly created position, including flexibility to create new systems and processes, with support of the Board.

Organization Overview:
Indy Women in Tech, Inc. ("IWiT" or "IWiT Foundation") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2016. The IWiT Foundation's mission is "to inspire women and girls of all ages to pursue STEM related employment in Indiana by exposing them to experiences and career opportunities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as well as provide the necessary financial support, mentoring, training and education." 

Full Time with benefits. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Position Overview and Duties:

Board Governance:
• Responsible for leading IWiT's programs and initiatives in a manner that supports and guides the mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
• Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

Financial Performance and Viability:
• Responsible for the fiscal integrity of IWiT, to include assisting IWiT's Officers in developing a proposed annual budget.
• Responsible for providing IWiT Officers sufficient information to prepare monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.
• Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.
• Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support IWiT's mission.

Organization Mission, Strategy and Operations:
• Responsible for implementation of IWiT's programs that carry out the organization's mission.
• Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that IWiT can successfully fulfill its mission into the future.
• Responsible for the enhancement of IWiT's image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Assist IWiT Officers in planning and operation of annual budget.
• Establishing administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the IWiT Foundation.
• Assist in execution of screening process for applicants. 
• Provide guidance and support to all women within the IWiT programs.
• Maintain current partnerships and collaborations while identifying new opportunities for partnership in alignment with IWiT's mission.
• Ensure that women within the IWiT programs are each assigned a mentor.
• Serving as IWiT's spokesperson to all constituents, including the media and the general public.
• Ensure all relevant data is collected and maintained in Salesforce for all initiatives.
• Coordinate IWiT presence at all events (for example, job fairs)
• Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the state and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance IWiT's mission.
• Cultivate current donor relationships while seeking and soliciting new donors.
• Execute community outreach and fundraising to support IWiT's programs and initiatives.
• Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the IWiT Foundation throughout the state.
• Supervise and collaborate with staff.
• Assist IWiT Officers and the Board of Directors with strategic planning and implementation.
• Oversee marketing and other communications efforts.

Professional Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree
• Transparent and high integrity leadership
• Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience
• Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
• Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
• Ability to convey a vision of IWiT's strategic future to staff, Officers, Board members, volunteers and donors
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
• Strong public speaking ability
