Youth Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and completing the monitoring visits of Gleaners' youth programs, including BackSacks'Weekend Food for Kids, School-Based Pantries, and Summer Meals for Kids. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all Feeding America requirements, government regulations, and health codes.  All responsibilities shall be consistent with Gleaners Food Bank's mission to lead the fight against hunger.

Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
• Coordinate Youth Programs – BackSacks, School-Based Pantries, & Summer Meals for Kids
 o Serve as the primary point of contact for all site coordinators.
 o Conduct monitoring for new and enrolled sites to ensure program compliance.
 o Assist with the re-enrollment process and train new site coordinators in program procedures and regulations.
 o Identify & recruit new schools to the programs in as needed alignment with Gleaners' Strategic Plan.
 o Create and administer monthly, and end of program recaps for evaluation.
 o Work with Youth Programs and Nutrition Managers to ensure nutritious, diverse, and child-friendly menus.
 o Collaborate with Gleaners' operations team to design and execute efficient logistical processes.
 o Assist with reporting for all applicable grants and internal data collection. 
 o Ensure program guidelines, standard operating procedures, training materials, and all organizational resources are current and updated on a regular basis.
 o Identify gaps in emergency food resources during the summer school break period for children age 18 and under throughout Gleaners' 21 county service area.
 o Expand and leverage community partnerships to recruit distribution site locations, storage facilities, and volunteers.
• Provide top-notch customer service, both internally and externally.

Other Functions:
• Coordinate other youth program meal distributions.
• Complete all functions while demonstrating behaviors consistent with Gleaners' mission, vision and values and as a public representative of the organizations.
• Work across departments in order to support a comprehensive and integrated approach to decreasing service gaps.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research in tandem with Youth Programs Manager in order to provide the most current information relative to the organization's efforts to reduce childhood hunger throughout its service area.
• Provide input for organizational communications, including story bank, newsletter, website content, etc.
• Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, and staff development.
• Assist with long-range planning as needed.
• Provide information for fiscal year-end audit as needed.
• Provide information for Feeding America's Annual Network Activity Report and biennial audit as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities an individual needs in order to perform this job successfully.
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years' work experience in a related field.
• Food Safety and Handling Certified, or ability to be certified.

Language Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills.
• Multi-Lingual preferred.

Mathematical/Reasoning Skills:
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Technical/Computer Skills:
• Proficient in computer, copier, fax machine, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint and Google Docs.
• Ability to work in databases.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
• Valid driver's license/Clean driving record /Must be insurable by company vehicle insurance provider
