Your Role in Our Mission:
The Events Manager is responsible for events sponsored by the International Fraternity for Alpha Gamma Delta's members. The Events Manager will serve on the Fraternity Development Team collaborating the Communications and Marketing Team, Finance and Operations Team and volunteers.

Your success will be defined by your ability to be detail oriented, manage budgets, host meetings for various stakeholders involved in the event process, and professionalism with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing:
• Responsible for planning and implementing the Fraternity's meetings, conferences and other applicable events (International Convention, The Leadership Conference, new chapter installations, regional trainings, Academy for Chapter Presidents, Academy for Chapter Advisors, etc.).
• Manage event logistics including, but not limited to:
 o Execute the registration process for all Fraternity events and keep accurate records of attendees.
 o Secure corporate and partner sponsorships.
 o Serve as an on-site point of contact during events.
 o Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations on proposing a budget for all events to the Leadership Team and International Council.
 o Maintain operational plans, schedules and budget detail for each event.
 o Maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure appropriate parties are briefed throughout the planning process.
 o Coordinate rentals, A/V needs, food and beverage and other event-related details.
 o Purchase, organize and ship supplies for conferences and other applicable events.
 o Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, enjoyable event environment, including handling event related customer service inquiries.
 o Lead a staff and volunteer planning team so that workloads are delegated appropriately, and contributors are able to work in their area of expertise.
• Travel to regional events, conferences and other meetings, as needed.
• Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Team to plan e-mail communication, marketing and social media for events.
• Collaborate with Director of Fraternity Development on managing, implementing and executing alumnae events.
 o Events include: Circle in the City signature event, regional Circle Up events, International Reunion Day (IRD) and Alpha Gam Night Out.
 o Coordinate rentals, A/V needs, food and beverage and other applicable details.
• Collaborate with volunteers on celebrating anniversaries for chapters, initiation dates and total years of membership.
• Collaborate with volunteers on planning and marketing International Reunion Day (IRD) activities.
• Responsible for sourcing and securing venues, hotels and transportation for staff and Council members attending events.
               
You Are:
• A team player, able to collaborate closely with others while exhibiting a positive attitude.
• An excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written skills in the English language.
• Flexible, able to adapt to changing needs, shift priorities as required and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to demonstrate sound decision-making in high pressure conditions with minimal oversight.
• Detail-oriented, organized and confident with the ability to generate solutions and creatively solve problems.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in event management, hospitality, marketing or a related field.
• One year of related experience, preferably in events, hospitality or the fraternity/sorority field.
• Membership in Alpha Gamma Delta or other fraternity/sorority and basic knowledge of the Fraternity preferred, but not required.
• Ability and willingness to travel as a representative of the Fraternity when needed.
• Ability and willingness to work from the International Headquarters offices in Indianapolis, IN.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and common internet applications.
• Must be able and willing to lift and carry items 35-50 lbs.
