The Annual Fund  Manager of the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation is responsible to the President of the Foundation for the coordination, supervision, planning and implementation of the Foundation's Annual Fund program.  This includes coordination and development of the annual Foundation appeal through direct mail, telemarketing, Day of Giving, and electronic solicitation.

In this capacity, it will be this person's responsibility to:
• Work with the President and the Foundation Team to formulate an intergenerational annual fund plan with targets, goals and a realistic timetable.

• Plan, develop, coordinate and implement the annual fund raising activities.

• Prepare or cause to be prepared, in concert with appropriate committees, all materials needed for the Annual DeltFund.

• Ensure that short-term and long-term goals for each area of the Annual Fund are developed and submitted to the President of the Foundation on an annual basis. 

• Prepare detailed plans of action for annual fund raising and communication programs, including budgets to support their implementation.

• Work with staff and volunteers to ensure that all fund raising and community relations programs are consistent with the overall mission of the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation and with the philosophy and concepts of each program and service.

• Manage the various annual fund solicitation initiatives – direct mail, telemarketing, electronic solicitations, Order of The C__, Crescent Society, and Parents Clubs and when appropriate, manage vendor relationships and out-sourcing to ensure efficient, accurate budgeting.

• Assure the accuracy of the Foundation's database and recommend strategies for keeping addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses up to date.

• Keep professional expertise current in the area of responsibility.

• Develop and submit to the Chief Administrative Officer and President monthly report based on an established format reflecting development activities.

• Maintain confidentiality as appropriate

• Other duties as assigned by the President.

Direct Mail:
• Under the direction from the President and Development Committee, coordinate the creation of the copy, schedule and distribute all direct mail solicitations according to an established time line.

Telemarketing:
• Manage the telephone calling vendor by organizing calling segments and overall strategy  to engage donor audiences
• Prepare all scripts, copy, acknowledgment letters for use by Telefund Vendor

Electronic Solicitation:
• Under the direction with the President and Development Committee, coordinate the creation of the copy, schedule and distribute all electronic solicitations according to an established time line.
• Monitor follow-up to assure electronic solicitations by donors are fulfilled.

Day of Giving:
• Manage, design and coordinate the Delt Foundation's annual Day of Giving through the use of Email, Facebook, Twitter and other social media avenues
• Create inspiring messaging and materials that engage Foundation ambassadors
• Facilitate a live event through social media that is designed to both educate and inspire rather than just promote the Fraternity.

Order of the C__:
• Under the direction with the President and Development Committee, coordinate the creation of the copy, schedule and recognition of the Foundation's premier annual fund giving program.  Communicate with the President and Director of Leadership Gifts new major gift prospects for higher levels of cultivation. 
• Monitor follow-up to assure break-through growth of this giving club is attained.

Crescent Society & Parents Club:
• Develop strategy and execution for the Foundation's Undergraduate Giving Society. 
• Promote the Society throughout the Fraternity and work toward achieving deeper penetration within undergraduate chapters through mission development, creative delivery systems and meaningful incentive programs.
• Monitor follow-up to assure goals are achieved.
• Develop and execute a strategy for further development of friends of the foundation through parents and other potential individuals who have an affinity toward helping our efforts. 

Honor Roll of Donors

Assignments Outside of Annual Fund:

• When appropriate, call on key prospects – on a selective basis – for gifts.
• Work with the President on special events and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

BS/BA degree. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and have a good working knowledge of Raisers Edge. Experience in direct mail, telefund, electronic solicitation and special events. Strong ability to interact and develop relationships with the public, management of data, develop and implement strategies, and management of multiple assignments necessary. Actively participate in a team environment and remain flexible. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
