We are searching for a part time Accounting Assistant to perform various bookkeeping and accounting functions, process donations and assist with various projects as needed.

Sagamore Institute is a non-profit think tank located in downtown Indianapolis with a network of research fellows, thought leaders, and partnering organizations working together to turn ideas into actions, and actions into impact.  We are searching for a part time (15-20 hours/week) Accounting Assistant to perform various bookkeeping and accounting functions, process donations and assist with various projects as needed.

DUTIES
The Accounting Assistant is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
• Enter all donations into Abila MIP and Salesforce on a daily basis
• Record and reconcile scholarship program deposits and transfer administrative fees
• Account for credit card transactions (collect expense reports and receipts, enter into Abila MIP)
• Track donations into our account at National Christian Foundation and request grants
• Update financial information for all projects in Salesforce quarterly
• Update financial spreadsheets for various partners
• File vendor payables and other financial records

Education and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Abila MIP accounting software and Salesforce
• Good communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Non-profit work experience a plus
