Do you love people and animals? FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic is seeking an energetic team play to serve as volunteer and outreach coordinator. 
Organization Overview
FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic (FACE) is Indianapolis' nonprofit, low-cost animal clinic.  Open six days a week and serving central Indiana, the clinic provides affordable spay/neuter services, along with medical and wellness care for companion animals and community cats. Since opening in 1999, FACE has performed more than a quarter of a million spay/neuter surgeries, which has contributed to a 90% reduction of euthanasia in our community.
Position Duties
The volunteer and outreach coordinator oversees volunteer recruitment and management, as well as the clinic's outreach efforts pertaining to community events, fundraising activities, and digital communication/marketing.
Essential Functions:

▪ Oversee and manage all volunteer activities and supervise volunteers as necessary.
▪ Ensure volunteers adhere to clinic policies and procedures and all activities are completed in a manner consistent with clinic's quality of work standards.
▪ Recruit and train new volunteers.
▪ Implement and manage on-going volunteer orientation.
▪ Create programs to encourage volunteerism and recognize volunteer efforts.
▪ Communicate with external and internal audiences to ensure awareness of upcoming events and social media promotions.
▪ Create and post social-media content that is mission-related, and reflects positively on FACE, its staff, volunteers, and partners.
▪ Work closely with clinic staff to collect and document stories about our life-saving work and impact within the community for social media and other relevant formats. 
▪ Working closely with marketing and development staff, create regular eNewsletters and organizational updates to be shared with external audiences via email, social media, and other relevant formats.
▪ Support outreach efforts by leading and managing FACE's participation in community events that raise awareness and support of FACE and its mission.  
▪ Maintain budget for volunteers, events, and programs.
▪ Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other individuals, companies, and organizations as they relate to FACE and its efforts.
Other Responsibilities:
▪ Works cooperatively with all team members.
▪ Report to work on time, and ready to work.
▪ Provide prompt, attentive, and friendly customer service in-person and by phone.
▪ Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Position Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
▪ Bachelor's degree in communications, events management, marketing or related field.
▪ Prior management/recruitment of staff and/or volunteers.
▪ Must have a valid driver's license.
▪ Working experience with Microsoft office suite. Donor and/or volunteer database experience strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
▪ Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
▪ Strong written communication skills.
▪ Exceptional organizational skills
▪ Seeks and responds to feedback from volunteers to improve experience; seeks to understand the perspective of others.
▪ Energetic team player with a passion for FACE's mission.
▪ Flexible, adaptive style in working with many varied audiences in fast-paced environment.
▪ Open to change and variety within the workplace.
▪ Self-motivated and able to work without daily direct supervision.
Schedule will not exceed 35 hours weekly. This position will require regular evening and weekend hours.
