Responsible for HR oversight of Fraternity Housing Corporation chapters and assistance with HR tasks associated with the Kappa Alpha Theta enterprise.

Organization Overview:
Founded in 1870 at Indiana Asbury (now DePauw University) in Greencastle, Ind., Kappa Alpha Theta is the first Greek-letter Fraternity known among women. In creating Kappa Alpha Theta, our founders were leading the way for women's groups and for women in higher education. Our members are women of all ages: women who attended college in nearly every US state and Canadian province, women who live all over the world, and women with varied professions, faiths, and ethnic backgrounds. Kappa Alpha Theta currently has over 200,000 living members. We have chapters on over 140 college campuses across the U.S. and Canada, and over 215 active alumnae groups around the world. The organization comprises the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, Foundation, and Housing Corporation.

Essential Functions:
Ensures FHC chapter payroll processed in a timely manner and in accordance with federal, state and local employment laws. Manages FHC chapter workers compensation claims, unemployment claims, employment verification and all other correspondence with and for current and prior FHC employees. Assists with various aspects of HR administration of the Kappa Alpha Theta enterprise.

Firm understanding of HR laws and best practices. Ability to manage multiple chapter accounts and the complexities that are involved with multiple locations in different states. Organizational skills and an attention to detail a must. Ability to work independently and identify best approach for creating new processes. Flexibility, and the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly, is necessary.

Preferred Education and Experience: College degree preferred but experience with HR is more important; a minimum of 5 years in this industry is preferred. SPHR or PHR certification desired.
