A well-established nonprofit seeks a creative communications coordinator with at least 3 years' experience in print and digital media. We're looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs. The successful candidate should have an understanding of fundraising communications and be able to hit the ground running to promote and advance the agency's fundraising ability. Applicants with experience in creative teams and designing with other professionals will be given prime consideration.

This position will have, or has the potential to have direct contact, on a regular and continuing basis, with children who are under the direct supervision of the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Projects (100%)

• Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on upcoming fundraising activities including events, solicitations, stewardship and digital campaigns
• Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics
• Create cohesive designs that reflect Children's Bureau's vision and mission
• Collaborate across departments to achieve brand consistency, company voice and coordination of messages
• Work in tandem with the communications coordinator for programs to manage the creation and production of electronic and printed pieces
• Create and coordinate production schedules and maintain ongoing relationships with mail houses and printers.
• Collaboratively manage and coordinate the creation and update of web-content; responsible for content-related protocols to keep web site up-to-date.
• Develop social media content to inform, engage and recognize.

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• At least three years' experience in producing digital and print content in a nonprofit or entrepreneurial setting
• Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia presentation
• Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript
• Experience working with WordPress templates
• Adaptive design eye and skill
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
• Driven to ensure work quality meets established standards and guidelines

WORKING CONDITIONS
