Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN

Coburn Place Safe Haven, the largest and most comprehensive transitional housing program in Indianapolis for victims of intimate partner violence, is seeking a full-time Mentor, part-time Mentor and PRN Mentors. The Mentor represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support services to Coburn Place clients, visitors, volunteers, staff and the community at-large.

Organization Overview
Coburn Place offers supportive services and housing options to survivors of intimate partner violence. We utilize a compassionate model of voluntary/trauma-informed services to focus on the overall well-being of the person while addressing barriers to safety, self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Position Duties
The Mentor represents the core values and mission of Coburn Place and provides exceptional customer service as the first contact for callers, visitors and residents of Coburn Place via telephone or on-site in a professional and courteous manner; participates in the 24-hour schedule of the Mentor team; maintains an accurate log of all activities and incidences during shifts; monitors all security systems; maintains confidentiality with all resident information and activities; provides mentoring and supportive interaction to all Coburn Place residents, ensuring that program services are delivered in the spirit of Coburn Place's guiding mission, vision, and values.

Position Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is desired. Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment preferably in a non-for-profit environment is desired. See job description for more information. Must have a clear MVR, valid Indiana driver's license, clear DCS history, and clear criminal and sex offender background checks.  E-Verify is required.
