Working 3.5 days per week, this staff member provides financial administration and ensures the smooth operation of a statewide environmental non-profit. Manages IFA's bank accounts, finances, accounts receivable and payable, budgets, and timesheet system.  Provides some IT support to the director.

Organization Overview
Indiana Forest Alliance is a staff of six working across Indiana to protect and restore Indiana's native forests, through expert research, influential advocacy, effective organizing, and powerful storytelling. Headquartered in a historic house just north of downtown Indianapolis.

Position Duties
 • Manages, maintains and reconciles IFA's bank accounts in QuickBooks Online.
 • Works with Development Director and other staff to code all income and expenses to the appropriate categories. Produces P&L reports and balance sheets for the Executive Director, Treasurer or other staff on monthly basis.
 • Pays office rent and utilities, contract payments, reimbursements, and other IFA expenses out of IFA's bank account in a timely manner. Maintains a positive bank account balance at all times.
 • Works closely with IFA Executive Director and staff to compile the annual budget.
 • Gather for CPA firm info needed for tax filings; gather info to prepare 1099s for vendors.
 • File biannual lobbying reports, annual nonprofit corporation reports, and other required non-profit reporting.
 • In consultation with executive director, monitors implementation of IFA's personnel policy.
 • Manages IFA's timesheet system.
 • Handles monthly online payroll through ADP; implements salary increases.
 • Maintains and organizes IFA's office and files.
 • Ensures that IFA staff and board have access to the office; manages key distribution.
 • Keeps IFA office equipment (for example, printers and phones) in working condition.
 • Orders office and janitorial supplies.
 • Liaisons with landlord on facility maintenance requests.

Position Qualifications
Associate's degree in accounting required. At least two years of work experience required. The candidate will have advanced skills in QuickBooks and be proficient with Excel spreadsheet design. The candidate will be well-organized, responsive to requests, and will maintain the highest ethical standards.
