Position Duties
An ideal Executive Director candidate will exhibit discipline, self-motivation, and high productivity in delivering desired outcomes in a largely autonomous work environment.
The position requires a diverse skill set and includes responsibilities ranging from sales and marketing support, fundraising and development, organizational management, and basic accounting. As such, a successful Executive Director must consistently display sound judgment, exceptional and creative problem-solving abilities, strong personal initiative, and an ability to effectively influence others. 
 
Job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Organizational outreach among existing NMS annual fund donors, recruitment of new NMS annual fund donors, development and management of operating budgets, publication of NMS newsletter and communications, data gathering and reporting, vendor management and relationship building, stewardship over our NMS website, event management and marketing of NMS interests, resources, and initiatives.

Position Qualifications
• Collegiate bachelor's degree or above from an institution of higher learning is required, with preference for accreditation from a related field such as business administration, marketing, or non-profit management.
• Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience in a sales, marketing, or business management setting.
• Knowledge and experience with common business and business management principles, including business development, vendor relations, brand management, focused marketing and budgetary oversight, is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with standard business applications and computing software, including Microsoft Office Suite and web-based support tools.
• Must be intrinsically goal-oriented and self-motivated, willing to work autonomously with both accountability and diligence to achieve goals.
• Must consistently demonstrate superior critical thinking, sound judgment and thoughtful decision-making to remove obstacles and achieve goals in a self-sufficient manner.
• Must have superior verbal and written communication skills.
