The Orchard School is seeking an innovative, dynamic, collaborative, administrative assistant to serve as the assistant to the Summer Camp Manager during the summer program (May-early August). The ideal candidate will take initiative, be highly organized, be adept at multitasking and excel in interaction with adults and children from diverse backgrounds. Creative problem-solving and proven follow-through skills are necessary. Confidentiality, adaptability, collaboration with colleagues and attention to detail are key requirements. A sense of humor is preferred. Additionally, there is plenty of opportunity to be creative and brainstorm about summer camp programs.

Qualifications and Attributes
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant (school experience preferred)
• Ability to support and anticipate the needs of the program
• Ability to collaborate and work with a team
• Specific work experience demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and follow-through
• Capacity to strive for unity, harmony and cooperation through empathy, respect, tact, and helpfulness
• Ability to manage and track several projects at one time
• Excellent writing skills
• Advanced technology skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs
• Experience with Filemaker database software preferred
• Willingness to learn and improve professionally
• Affinity and enthusiasm for working with children
• Capacity to inspire others
• Sound judgment, emotional maturity, and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to work with parents in a thoughtful and proactive manner
