The Organization 
The Indiana Psychological Association is the largest collaboration of psychologists in the state of Indiana. Established in 1937, its purpose is to advance psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting public welfare. The organization is seeking a professional individual to serve as its Executive Director. Website: www.indianapsychology.org

Responsibilities
•  Strategic Planning
 o   Support BOD and President in developing the strategic plan
 o   Support implementation and assist with communication of the plan
 o   Provide recommendations and adaptation of the plan as necessary
•  Committee Meetings
 o   Support the Committee Chair and members at all meetings
 o   Participate in monthly committee conference calls
 o   Assist with agenda preparation as requested
 o   Prepare draft minutes from each meeting as requested
 o   Communicate key actions to other Committees and the BOD as requested
•  Board Chair, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors
 o   Provide professional and competent support as requested
 o   Ensure effective and up to date communications
 o   Update and advise of Association activities and current issues
•  Member benefits and membership growth
 o   Assist with maintaining unique member benefits and membership value
 o   Support all efforts to communicate benefits to membership
 o   Create and implement methods to increase Association membership
•  Communications
 o   Ensure current and accurate reporting to all membership
 o   Ensure all staff communications are courteous and prompt
 o   Update and maintain the Association's website
 o   Represent the Association and provide public communications as requested
 o   Provide a centralized resource for all Association communications
•  Financial Management
 o   Guide preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial statements
 o   Prepare monthly agenda and reports for Finance Committee
 o   Manage banking relationships, cash payments, and account balances, and oversee bookkeeper
 o   Coordinate annual financial audit per the association bylaws
 o   Communicate changes or issues with financial status promptly
 o   Provide suggested improvements in financial performance
 o   Ensure competence, ethics, and proper financial protocols are consistently followed
•  Continuing Education
 o   Support all continuing education efforts
 o   Negotiate contracts with vendors for CE events and locate venues to host CE events
 o   Ensure effective implementation of all CE programs
 o   Assist with continued enhancement of education methods
 o   Prepare annual and 5-year accreditation reports
 o   Monitor that CE programming and procedures are in compliance accreditation standards
•  Operations
 o   Direct, monitor, and assist in all operational activities of the Association
 o   Lead and direct all internal staff and external services
 o   Ensure membership database is consistently available, accurate, and updated
 o   Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications
o   Desire to work in a nonprofit environment
o   Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
o   Excellent interpersonal skills
o   Qualified financial management experience
o   Solid data systems understanding and capabilities
o   Must be able work efficiently and independently
o   Previous leadership experience preferred
o   Bachelors degree required; masters preferred
