We are currently looking for great young adults equipped with positive energy, curiosity, and readiness to make camp a possibility for 100s of children this Summer.  Please help Jameson Camp spread the word about our Cabin Counselor positions, working directly with our children in Summer Camp.

Organization Overview
We are proud to make the camp experience possible for ALL children. We are currently looking for a few Summer Staff who are equally excited to share in that ambition.  Located on 130 wooded acres 1 mile from the Indianapolis International Airport, we offer Summer Camp, Outdoor Education, Challenge Course, & Youth Leadership programs to our community.  Many of our children are referred by community partners for social and emotional needs to include ADHD, higher functioning Autism, foster children, and homeless/transient youth.  Our programs include an intentional focus on character and social skills development, all while exploring, swimming, and playing at camp with friends!

Position Duties
Our cabin staff make the camp experience happen!  This includes singing camp songs, roasting marshmallows, guiding groups of children, playing games, leading an activity area, facilitating campouts, and rocking talent shows.
In responsibility for campers' happiness and well-being, our counselors lead groups of 6 – 10 children through a daily schedule, supporting self-esteem, decision-making, responsibility, communication, and decision-making skills.  Counselors will quickly become acquainted and build a positive relationship with each of their children, monitoring health and social progress.  All of our Summer Staff come together to facilitate an engaging program full of camp fun and abundant opportunities for learning.

Position Qualifications
We are looking for young adults who are ready to be positive role models for children and peers day-in and day-out.  An understanding of the value of patience, persistence, integrity, adaptability, and a sense of humor is crucial.  Applicants must have a desire to work and play outdoors and an ability to motivate themselves and many others throughout the course of a summer season.

Minimum age of 18 for most positions.  Applicants with an interest in social service and/or education find a great success at our camp, but many other types of people do as well!
