The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville provides positive and engaging youth programs that enrich the lives of a diverse group of members.  The Camp Director works with staff, local businesses, organizations, and camp counselors to develop a summer day camp program consistent with the needs and interests of the community. 

Since 1951, Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville has been in the forefront of youth development, working with all young people, including those from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances during out of school time.  BGCN  is facility-based and employs 35 youth development professionals, supplemented by 400 volunteers, and offers daily access to a broad range of programs in three impact areas: Academic Success, Character and Leadership Development, and Healthy Lifestyles.  Our programs are open to children ages 5-18 and provide opportunities that are fun, challenging, and engaging after school and on school breaks, including summer.

Position Duties
Recruits, interviews, and hires camp counselors.
Develops and implements training for camp counselors.
Enforces safety and health regulations and following emergency procedures.
Effectively supervise, coach and mentor the camp counselors.
Develops effective written program plans, including group games, canoeing, fishing, archery, low-ropes, cooking, crafts, environmental education, field trips, overnights and special events for the Camp Crosser program in consultation with the camp counselors.
Become trained to supervise the zip line equipment, utilization of the equipment, and overall safety procedures for use.
Assure that equipment and facilities are safely and properly maintained for use by program participants and staff.  Arrange for broken and unsafe equipment and facilities to be repaired.
Recruit needed volunteers and contract vendors as necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed financial records; controls revenues and expenditures; and makes recommendations for future budget appropriations. 
Assists with the evaluation of the program.
Prepares oral and written reports on all aspects of Camp Crosser as required.
Communicate with parents through weekly informative emails and phone calls or email as needed.

Position Qualifications
Educational background in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
Previous camp experience required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (will train)
Commercial Driver's License preferred, not required.
