Plans, organizes and implements programs and initiatives in order to deliver a preeminent program experience for all participants and to successfully achieve CLD's mission. Assists in the development of program content, monitors key performance indicators and outcomes and prepares program reports and proposals. Manages and evaluates the overall quality of the program experience, including reviewing and updating curriculum and observing classes and events. Coordinates the recruitment of program participants, facilitators and volunteers, and monitors program expenditures. Presents information internally, to Board and to community at large about programs in his/her portfolio.  Position requires working evenings and weekends.

The mission of the Center for Leadership Development (CLD) is to foster the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment. 

Position Description:
• Supervises, evaluates and reviews duties and performance of Program Assistant.
• Oversees the preparation and publishing of all program communications, including curriculum, letters and emails, website and social media postings, booklets, flyers, etc. to ensure superior quality, clarity and relevancy.
• Develops and delivers program-specific training to facilitators and volunteers and conducts post-program meetings with facilitators to ensure program effectiveness.
• Analyzes data in order to prepare scheduled and special reports and oversees maintenance of programmatic statistical information.
• Assists with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
• Acts as liaison between CLD and program parents, participants, facilitators and volunteers.
• Actively recruits facilitators and guest speakers.
• May facilitate programs offered by CLD.
• Prepares and presents program information to the CLD Board, contributors, or possible sponsors when requested.
• Schedules and delivers presentations at area schools, churches, and other community organizations for the purpose of recruiting students for CLD programs and informing the community about CLD.
• Manages program revenues and expenses for cost effectiveness of programs.
• May perform specialized activities in direct support of the accomplishment of the program objectives and the CLD mission.

Skills and Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. Effective time management skills. Ability to multi-task, working independently or collaboratively. Ability to interact successfully with parents, youth, volunteers from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Ability to supervise staff.

Bachelor's degree required. Bachelors of Science in Social Work, Education, Sociology or related field preferred.
Valid driver's license

Physical Demands:
Position requires strenuous physical exertion, including lifting of boxes and tubs, moving chairs and tables, loading and unloading supplies, etc.
