Junior Achievement of Central Indiana is seeking a collaborative and passionate individual to cultivate and develop new and long-term JA partnerships with businesses and individuals to volunteer at JA JobSpark (hands-on career expo for 8th graders), helping young people thrive in the 21st century workplace and global economy. The JA JobSpark Coordinator will organize and coordinate aspects of JA JobSpark volunteer initiatives, work with event vendors, educators and businesses, update materials as needed and attend meetings, as part of a team that leads approximately 5,000 JA volunteers in Central Indiana that will impact over 32,000 students.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages existing relationships and develops new partnerships with businesses and organizations to fully involve them with JA JobSpark.
• Works closely with Career Success Manager in order to support volunteer efforts, school participation and business involvement for JA JobSpark, a career expo for 8th graders.
• Develops and delivers JA JobSpark volunteer recruitment and training presentations.
• Updates and organizes JA JobSpark curriculum and volunteer materials. 
• Distributes and designs appropriate JA JobSpark marketing and awareness pieces to the community. 
• Responsible to attend and take notes at various JA JobSpark meetings.
• Tracks and reports event registrations and prepares event materials.
• Member of the Venue, Volunteer, Logistics sub team.
• Assists with coordination of vendor information including quotes, orders, follow-up and delivery.
• Collect and organizes JA JobSpark program content, tracks content received and notes content needs.
• Enters both prospective and current volunteer information into database.
• Communicates with school leaders, attends and organizes meetings with educators, tracks school information, schedules, materials needed and student numbers.
• Develops content for newsletter, sends out newsletter, maintains and updates contact lists.
• Develops new and effective strategies to improve volunteer retention and focus on volunteer appreciation events.
• Possesses exceptional communication skills.
Education/Experience Required/Desired:

• Bachelor degree in Event/Convention Management, Education, Business or related field required.
• 1-3 years building and maintaining corporate relationships.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to the corporate and business community.
• Experience influencing and leading groups or corporate initiatives.
• Skilled in technology usage.
• History of volunteering
