Are you a savvy, cutting edge Human Resources professional looking for a role where your contributions will be felt each and every day? An Indianapolis-based human services organization is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide leadership and management of compensation and benefits administration, employee relations and staffing management, organizational and employee development, budgetary oversight and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and administer compensation and benefit systems to attract, recognize and retain talent.
• Provide direction and oversight for a team of HR professionals specializing in talent acquisition, benefits and Human Resource Manager functions.
• Develop annual goals and objectives, staffing plans and budgets aligned with agency strategic initiatives.
• Provide consultative support to management team on resolution of personnel issues through performance management and coaching.
• Establish and maintain agency training programs, including new employee orientation and onboarding programs, required annual trainings and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee the maintenance of the HRIS to ensure data integrity and timeliness of reporting.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance within all functions of the department, maintain personnel policies and procedures, and complete annual reporting and dissemination of required notices.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field, with a minimum three years of progressive human resources experience. SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Prior work experience in non-profits and/or disability field preferred but not required.

Ideal candidates will have experience with benefits administration and recruitment/retention strategies, as well as thorough knowledge of legal regulations and employer obligations under ACA, ERISA, FLSA, DOL, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC, and ability to keep abreast of all current legislation.

This role requires a highly-resourceful individual with excellent organization and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and strong analytical skills. Ideal candidates will have strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, and innovation, creativity and commitment to new ideas in recruitment and retention. Additionally, candidates must provide their own transportation, have a valid driver's license and meet driving insurability and background check requirements.
