We have received funding for a six month contracted position at ICESA. The communications coordinator will develop and implement ICESA's communication strategies including print, website, social media, and media that promotes and advances ICESA's mission.

This is currently a contracted position lasting an estimated five months/15 - 20 hours a week. Preferred start date is June 4.

Job Purpose:
Develop and implement ICESA's communication strategies including print, website, social media, and media that promotes and advances ICESA's mission.

• Ensure ongoing improvement of website, including phased updates and redesigns.
• Implement e-communications for coalition members, campus initiative partners, prevention partners, the public, etc.
• Champion ICESA's social media participation to create, implement and manage an active and innovative presence on established and new social media outlets.
• Actively monitor ICESA's online reputation.

Media Relations
• Maintain an updated list of media contacts statewide, and assist the CEO, or designated staff, in providing interviews, comments or quotes to media contacts as appropriate.
• Write and distribute media releases.
• Pitch to the local and national media to secure media placement.
• Maintain media archives.
• Distribution of communications to various ICESA listservs.

Print Materials
• Manage creation, production, and dissemination of printed publications for education, prevention, development, and administration purposes.
• Support the development and execution of collateral materials for all training and prevention materials.
• Create and coordinate content calendar and help manage outside vendor relationships.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, English/journalism, or a related communications field.
• Experience (or knowledge of) working with sexual assault organizations preferred.
• 1-2 years of marketing, communications, media, or public relations experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience using advanced functions within all social media platforms.
• Strong organizational skills, proven ability to manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a cross section of constituents including sexual assault service providers throughout Indiana.
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment.
• Commitment and strong understanding of the organizational mission. 
• Unwavering commitment to quality programs and excellence in organizational and project management with the ability to achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
• Integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed with demonstrated passion for ICESA's mission and commitment to working collaboratively. 
• Solid judgment and apparent leadership skills.

Additional Duties:
• Work collaboratively with all ICESA staff members. Contribute to the professional tone and approach of the project and ICESA, within the perimeters of ICESA's mission and philosophy. Other duties as assigned.
• Reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license are required. Driving is required.
