The Assistant/Associate Director, Annual Campaigns and Community Engagement (ACCE), cultivates, builds and maintains positive relations with all donors while increasing awareness of and ongoing sustainability for Simon Youth Foundation. ACCE's primary responsibility is the strategic development, execution and management of comprehensive annual giving campaigns, which includes the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in donor relations and community engagement.

Simon Youth Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, exists to help at-risk students who are on the verge of dropping out of high school stay in school.

Through 30 Simon Youth Academies in 12 states and Simon Youth Scholarships, SYF advocates, creates and initiates educational opportunities for students so they can start here and go anywhere. In partnership with local public school districts, SYF has maintained a 90% graduation rate at its Academies since inception, graduated nearly 16,000 students, and awarded nearly $17 million in scholarships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•        Develop and implement short-term and long-term campaign strategies to secure mission-driven and geographically-centric gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to increase financial support for mission impact through SYF programs.
•        Monitor, manage and meets or exceeds external fundraising campaigns goals.
•        Manage, enhance, and execute annual campaign targeting internal stakeholders.
•        Assist in building and managing a portfolio of principal and major gift prospects by coordinating solicitation strategies with the President and VPA.
•        Assist in identifying, recruiting, training, motivating and supporting geographically distributed volunteer leadership for all fundraising campaigns.
•        Develop, generate and distribute reports tracking the metrics and status of all campaigns.
•        Assure that best practices are in place and that relevant and innovative fundraising messages are developed for diverse demographic and geographic supporters.
•        Collaborate with Communications Director for campaign messaging and communication strategy.
•        Work with Manager, Grants, Proposals and Research to help identify and cultivate donors for moves management.
•        Create, implement and evolve donor stewardship program.
•        Grow an Alumni database by developing and executing a communication and stewardship plan that increases SYF's individual prospect pool of SYA graduates and scholarship recipients.
•        Work effectively with, and quickly gain the respect and support of, various and diverse constituencies, including SYF staff, Board, donors and volunteers.
•        Act as primary advancement liaison to SYF Academy network and communities by launching and sustaining Community Advocacy Councils for all Academy locations or communities.
•        Provide executive-level support to senior staff, including appropriate, concise briefing materials in advance of meetings with donors and prospects.
•        Serve as secondary staff member supporting Vice President, Advancement and Board Advancement committee, in ensuring success in all annual activities and events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Earned Bachelor's or Master's Degree in applicable field.
•        CFRE, desired or progress toward certification.
•        Five to seven years' experience of demonstrable success in annual campaigns. Success measured by a documented giving and stewardship plan that sustains year over year giving with increased levels of giving, year over year growth in individual, corporate and organizational constituents, and moving donors through the fundraising cycle.
•        Critical and strategic thinker with strong time management skills, as well as a professional and courteous demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced and geographically distributed environment.
•        Creative, proactive, strategic, detail-oriented and consistent with a strong commitment to excellence, quality, timeliness, efficiency and effectiveness.
•        Proven record of accomplishments that demonstrates initiative, creativity, agility and managerial and interpersonal skills.
•        Strategic and working knowledge of Blackbaud's Raisers Edge, Luminate Online (Convio) and Peer-to-Peer fundraising platforms preferred, other transferable knowledge of giving platforms, desired.
•        Commitment to working with and supporting diverse communities of donors, stakeholders and colleagues.
