This position provides primary administrative, project and service coordination support of the Great Families 2020 initiative and administrative support for the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Community Impact department.  Ensure the timeliness and critical scheduling processes of the project from initiation to completion that support Great Families 2020.  In addition, provide project coordination for activities related to services and collaborative initiatives involving external partners, including meeting and event management.  Ability to create high quality power point presentations and handout materials in collaboration with the Great Families 2020 team.
 
Position Duties & Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. 
1. Provide primary administrative support to the Director of Great Families 2020, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, as well as other Community Impact team members as assigned.
2. Manage the schedule and meeting requests of Great Families 2020 Director, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, and Program Officers.
3. Manage, monitor and maintain records and reports for the Social Innovation Fund cooperative agreement that is funding the Great Families 2020 Initiative.
4. Track budget and match expenditures for Great Families 2020, including UWCI, federal, and subgrantee spending.
5. Coordinate information gathering and updating of internal and external reports.
6. Proofread various letters, materials, and other documents (shared responsibility of others in Community Impact department and, occasionally, the Marketing department).
7. Bridge various project components, including Community Impact staff, volunteers, agencies, internal staff, and consultants.
8. Provide support to the grant monitoring for Great Families 2020. This includes compiling information regarding the programs and working with other Community Impact staff to prepare materials.
9. Prepare high quality PowerPoint presentations, charts, and spreadsheets accurately and efficiently.
10. Manage all aspects of preparation/management for meetings, which include assembling materials from other staff, track attendance, meeting set up and logistics.
11. Assist Community Impact staff with special projects as assigned.
12. Assist with planning of events, including meeting planning, implementation, and on- and off-site management. 
13. Promote a cooperative spirit within the organization and among internal and external United Way participants.
14. Performs special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.

Education and/or Experience
Undergraduate degree or significant equivalent and relevant work experience in coordinating projects in the customer service, membership services, or other fields that involve coordinating activities between co-workers, customers, and volunteers such as scheduling, budget tracking, tracking project status, etc.
 
*Work experience may substitute for education requirements on a case by case basis.
 
Must possess a high level of computer proficiency and knowledge of various computer and database software, with particular skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.  Effective verbal and written communication, editing, math aptitude, organizational, professionalism, customer service, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills are essential.  Ability to create high quality power point presentations and supporting handouts.  High level of proofreading ability is essential.  Must be self-motivated and able to consistently and effectively work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment.  Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities, think and respond timely and be tenacious in handling tasks and be skillful in working with various personalities.  Able to use good judgment in the areas of time constraints and job demands.  Must be flexible and available to work overtime on occasion.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
