The Marketing and Communications Manager will ensure AYS' visibility in the community. This position is primarily responsible for leading the marketing and communications team, promoting AYS' brand through the development and distribution of marketing materials and advertisements, and overseeing implementation of AYS' communication strategies internally and externally.
• Leads the marketing and communications team meeting to ensure cross-departmental involvement in marketing and communications strategies
• Develops and implements communication and marketing through website and social media
• Coordinates print/online advertising
• Develops and maintains AYS' marketing materials; works with program services and business development teams to develop templates and materials to support program enrollment and other program-level marketing; develops promotional materials for organizational events
• Distributes organization-focused communications, both electronic and by mail, to internal and external audiences; works with PR consultant to distribute media releases
• Supports program services by providing marketing and other materials for visibility in the community
• Works with program services to develop messaging content
• Provides functional guidance and support to marketing/communications interns.
• Ensures all employees and board members have needed branded materials, such as business cards and nametags
• Produces materials to support production of the annual report
• Coordinates organization's United Way campaign
• Serves on the grants team and resource development committee, and other ad hoc committees as needed
• Provides feedback and support in developing the annual marketing plan and communication plan
• Represents AYS at visibility events on occasion
• Writes and edits materials for other departments
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in communications, marketing, or related field is required.
• A minimum of one year of marketing, communications or related experience is required.

• Technical – Proficiency in using computers and related software; proficient with Wordpress or similar website platforms; proficient with Mailchimp or other e-communication software; proficient with all social media platforms.
