Organization Overview: 
Since 1979, the YSB has focused on children, youth and families through the initial establishment of emergency shelter care, the development of residential services, Healthy Families, and home based/community based services.  The YSB has and continues to provide services to primarily Jay and surrounding communities (Adams, Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Henry, Randolph, Wayne, and Wells Counties) through an annual operating budget that totals more than 3 million, and employs more than 50 full and part time staff. 
 
Position Duties: 
Responsible for overall direction, authority, and responsibility of administering internal operations including programs, finance, operations, grants/contract management and staff; function as liaison between staff and Board; promote positive image of YSB and serve as its primary spokesperson; advocate and establish strong relationships at local, state and national levels.
 
Position Qualifications: 
Requires a Master Degree in areas of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, with a minimum of 5 years documented experience in human services and a minimum of 3 years documented experience in management/administrative experience. As applicable, licensure and certification are required.  Knowledge in the areas of advocacy, fiduciary, and fund development are needed.  .  Must have strong communication skills, leadership skills, knowledge of private and public sectors, person of high character, energetic, a good listener with ability to organize, prioritize, and analyze key activities/goals of organization.
